Omega Physical Therapy is a full-service rehabilitation center located in the Bensonhurst neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. We are committed to providing optimal rehabilitation in an ever-changing healthcare environment, and we offer one-on-one care with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Our philosophy is a little different than most. Rather than spending time treating the symptoms, we treat the cause of the problem. In many cases, a patient's problem is not resolved because all of the factors are not taken into consideration. Dr. Shestakovsky has found through his experience and research at St. Augustine University that there is mounting evidence linking low back pain to sacroiliac joint dysfunction.
In many cases, patients who experience back pain are actually suffering from a dysfunction associated with structures or muscles in the front of the body.
What We Treat
The neck, also called the cervical spine, begins at the base of the skull and contains seven small vertebrae. The cervical spine supports the full weight of your head, which is on average about 12 pounds. While the cervical spine can move your head in nearly every direction, this flexibility makes the neck very susceptible to pain and injury.
